Un look… da mondiale

This last month has been the World Cup’s month. We all had the chance to watch some of the games: some of us were truly interested, while others were forced by football fans monopolizing the remote controllers of our televisions. 

The agitation for the semi-finals was a lot, and, of course, the tension had built up for the finals. Now that we finally know the name of the winner we decided to give a look at the stands of the last matches. This year, among the audience, we saw many of the football players’ wives and girlfriends, or WAGs, supporting them and posting pictures on social networks. Scrolling down their feeds and googling their names we managed to spot some interesting styles, and, therefore, we had to share what we found out with you. Let’s put aside all the football for a moment and let’s instead zoom into the looks of some of the semi-finalists’ (Belgium, Croatia, England and Belgium) WAGs. 

Michele De Bruyne:

Belgium was the first team to be out of the World Cup, however, by winning Saturday’s match against England, it won third place. Kevin De Bruyne’s wife, Michele Lacroix, went all the way to Russia with her son to support her husband and Belgium’s team. She has more than 170 million followers on Instagram and she loves to share with them her outfits. While giving a peak through her posts we noticed her true passion for fashion, in fact, in between sweet shots of her son and her husband and some pictures of her wearing beautiful swimsuits we found a breath-taking pair of high-heels. The black t-shirt dress is the perfect dress to make the electric pink shoes become the stars of the show. Both the pointy form of the shoe and its lively colour are elements that can be defined as stylish, since they are two important protagonists of the year’s new collections. What we loved the most, however, was the upper part of the shoe that looks like a sock: it’s a very cute creation!

Ruby Mae:

Also Dele Alli’s sweet half followed him all the way to Russia. His girlfriend Ruby Mae has an impeccable sense of style and this doesn’t surprise us. Dele’s young lover has been a model both for Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel. Every single casual outfit we saw her with confirms the fact that she is a proper fashion icon, and picking one in particular has been extremely difficult. The stripes on the side of these black trousers she is wearing aren’t strangers to us. During the last period this kind of trousers has taken over the streets of every city trying to recreate a 90’s style. Hers have the peculiarity of opening on the side, showing Ruby Mae’s tanned skin. She wore them with a very simple white top and a denim jacket, another big protagonist of the 90’s. 

In this picture she’s on the English bench and instead of the white top she is wearing the team’s t-shirt. She chose a simple sneaker to go with her outfit, which is the perfect choice to match with its high-waist trousers.

Izabel Kovacic:

The Croatian footballer Mateo Kovacic is very lucky too, because his wonderful wife Izabel is following his every move from the stands and has also guaranteed to be his number one fan on a Instagram post. Not even when she’s comfortably seated among the Croatian football fans with the team’s t-shirt is she not wearing an outfit that we disapprove of. Clearly Izabel Kovacic always keeps up with fashion, in fact, we couldn’t find a picture with an outfit that was out of style. An outfit caught our attention, this one with the black flare trousers and the news boy cap. The voluminous forms of the trousers are very noticeable and, since the look is designed with dark colours, there’s a contrast between the eccentricity of the sizes and the sobriety of black and military green. A very interesting element of the outfit is the green pullover because of its oversized sleeves that softly fall on the arms and tighten on the wrists. Everything seems to be very close to next season’s fashion choices: a continuous alternation of movements and forms.  

Pamela Anderson:

The French team has a special fan among the audience, it’s Pamela Anderson, Adil Rami’s girlfriend. The Baywatch star is extremely happy to be in Russia with Rami. She’s there, blowing him a kiss from the stands of Moscow’s stadium. The actress, who became famous thanks to the red swimsuit, has now conquered her place also among the World Cup’s WAGs. However, this isn’t the only thing that comes to mind when we think about her 2018. She was the face of a campaign against sexual harassment, specifically of a campaign to improve the checks on apps like Uber and Lyft. She tells the story of how she had felt uncomfortable when getting into the Uber she had booked because the driver had stared at her throughout the entire journey, at first in the car’s mirror and then looking over his shoulder. In the video created for the campaign Anderson is wearing a beautiful champagne fur coat. Sunglasses, gloves, purse and skirt are all black in order to give importance to the fur coat, giving birth to an extremely elegant look. It is clear that the actress’ style has recently evolved into a better one. Her outfits are less revealing but definitely more sophisticated. 

Alicia Aylies:

Miss France 2017 is cheering for the French team as well. Alicia Alyies is said to be Kylian Mbappe’s secret girlfriend, but she never confirmed the rumor, what we know for sure is the fact that she was in Russia attending the World Cup games. This outfit with light blue and darker blue stripes is absolutely lovely for the summer. The trousers are high waist, while the top is a crop top since it’s short and shows part of the model’s stomach. The naked shade of the high heels silently accompanies the look, while, on the other hand, the small pink pochette differs from the rest of the look and, therefore, creates a very interesting contrast. Alicia Aylies appears to love colours, or so we imagine from her outfits which are always colourful and vivacious. Her style doesn’t go unnoticed: although her clothes have pretty simple designs, the bright colours give life to her look and she is able to pull off every single one of them. 

Noemie Happart:

Another Miss was sitting on the stands of the World Cup’s stadiums. It’s Noemie Happart, Miss Belgium 2013. For a little longer than one year she has been Yannick Carrasco’s wife. Her love for her country and for the player of Belgium’s national team is obvious: she also painted flags on her face, that definitely demonstrates her loyalty! After a quick look at her Instagram account we found out that Noemie is a true blogger, she enjoys posting pictures of her travels and her outfits. In this picture she’s dressed just like one of us. She’s wearing denim shorts with lace details, a black shiny belt, a white and black Levi’s t-shirt with the big brand’s logo on the front, and a simple sneaker. T-shirts with logos are among the main trends of this year’s fashion, this is why we could try to take inspiration from the young Miss’ look, which is also very easy to recreate on a sunny day. Noemie loves pois, plaid prints and floral designs. Her style is very similar to ours and to our shop’s products: we love it!
